US Ambassador Yuri Kim on one side and dictator Enver Hoxha’s nostalgics on the other pay homage to Nation’s Martyrs .

Despite sparkling a lot of debate and caused a lot of ado a year ago, the US Embassy in Tirana congratulated again Albanians this year on the occasion of November 29, which the communist regime established as the Liberation Day from the Nazi Germany.
”1944-2022. Albania celebrates 78 years of liberation from the Nazi occupation during World War II. This occasion is a reminder of the sacrifices of the Albanian people and an opportunity to celebrate a glorious moment in Albanian history. Happy Liberation, Albania!”, the US Embassy wrote on its official page on Facebook
Meanwhile, US Ambassador Yuri Kim paid homage to the Cemetery of the Nation’s Martyrs.

Only a few meters away, a group of communist dictator Enver Hoxha’s nostalgics were also paying homage, undisturbed by the police despite holding banners of and gesturing symbols of Europe’s post-war most brutal dictatorship.
