Democratic Party Chairman Sali Berisha said he will support anyone that will enter the primaries before the local elections of May 14, 2023.
“The candidate for the municipality of Tirana, as well as the candidates for every municipality in Albania, will be elected by the primaries. We agreed that this coalition will fully support the primaries”,
Berisha said after he and Freedom Party Chairman Ilir Meta signed the agreement on cooperation for the local elections.
”I congratulate anyone that will decide to test themselves in an unprecedented race in the history of this country that intends to end the chairpersoncracy and overthrow the old practices of choosing the representatives”.
Democrat member Belind Këlliçi has expressed his will to run for Tirana’s Municipality and Berisha said he would support him and anyone else that will decide to run.
