Say whatever you want, but please speak, because Albanians deeply love America. During 45 years of communism, approximately 6,000 Albanian citizens were executed as alleged “collaborators of American imperialism” and enemies of the Party that remains in power today under a different name.
Speak as a human being, as a military man, as a parent, and as a citizen of a free country that recognizes and upholds citizens’ rights. At the very least, speak about democratic values and against corruption.
Perhaps, as Ambassador, Kushner does not allow you to speak freely. But say something about the PROTESTS! After all, you are a retired general. Nobody will reduce or take away your general’s pension, even though you are the same age as Rama.
Speak, Ambassador! During 45 years of communism, approximately 1,200 Albanians were killed at the border, including on barbed-wire fences, as they attempted to escape to the country you represent today as Ambassador.
Speak, General! Do not be intimidated by the ranks and decorations on your chest. Speaking from the heart, with clean hands, adds value to your medals and honors. Silence dictated by orders or purchased with money turns those decorations into nothing more than tin and sheet metal, just like the worthless awards handed out by the Party of Labour during work campaigns or agricultural cooperatives for meeting production quotas.

Speak, Ambassador! Do not remain silent, and do not wait until tomorrow, when Bibi, Kushner’s ally in Israel, might lose an election, or until next Tuesday, when President Trump might lose his majority in Congress. Whatever happens, you are expected to remain the US Ambassador in Tirana for three years. By then, you will also reach the retirement age under Albanian law. Perhaps you will want to enjoy a democratic, peaceful, and beautiful Albania.
I have seen you visit SPAK twice, Ambassador, and meet with its prosecutors.

Those who arrive at the Embassy like sewer rats, informing on one another like neutered dogs, represent only a small, filthy fraction of an Albania held hostage by a handful of political parasites. This situation has been enabled, in part, by the silence — or the words — of the institution you now lead over the past 30 years.
You have an opportunity, General, to be remembered as the US Ambassador who finally stripped away the false prestige of the ranks and decorations worn by Albania’s corrupt, spineless politicians.
I wish you good health, Ambassador. And please, do not worry too much about American citizens living in Tirana. Even if they pass the PROTESTS every day, the protesters will not harm a single hair on their heads. Albanians know very well that American citizens are not the ones making political deals with this rotten government. Such dealings, when they occur, involve officials, politicians, and diplomats, including figures such as Blinken, McGonigal, Yuri Kim, Donald Lu, Kimberly Guilfoyle, Kushner, and others.
Perhaps this “silence” also has something to do with the celebrations you may have held for your birthday on October 7, 1964. Coincidentally, you are the same age as Rama, although that crafty man changed his birthday date to July 4, America’s Independence Day.
